Regardless of what you do or don't follow, you should recognize the biased trash gateway pundit is. But then again, that's kind of the point. These sites exist just to regurgitate ideas you already believe back to you. You may not be a "follower" of gateway pundit but you found it, read it, and shared it for a reason.

I read the article in the OP earlier this morning, and l had more questions than anything. I’m far removed from Kansas City and l wasn’t aware state run grocery stores was a thing or how this came to be. I found this helpful.

Apparently it was an attempt to fill a perceived need in an underserved community (aka poor community) in an attempt to spark some urban renewal, basically hoping others would invest in the area around it with a shiny new grocery store.
It stands to reason that if an actual grocery store that does this sort of thing for a living can’t make it work, they won’t be able to make it work either.

Maybe? Access to good healthy food is a concern l have too, especially for underserved communities, but there are different ways to get to that goal. It’s partially why l liked RFK Jr. last year. He’s definitely a quirky guy but he seemed committed to cleaning up the food supply and making it accessible.
The link l shared indicated there’s already a couple other grocery stores in the community. I don’t know the area so l don’t know how close they actually are, but supply and demand is always going to be an important factor.

Cleaning up the food supply and making it accessible are two very different things.
Yes, with pure capitalism and "the market decides" we're just gonna follow supply and demand. That doesn't always serve all of the people adequately. There isn't adequate demand for many hospitals/the services offered in rural areas, but our government subsidizes them. Same thing with getting mail to rural areas. Not cost effective but it's a function of the government.
