BTW, I was perusing 2014 mocks just for fun... and couldn't find one that DIDN'T have the Browns taking a quarterback. Keep in mind that Peter King knows Lombardi very, very well... and I wouldn't take his "Weeden Isn't the Answer" proclamation as based completely on the eyeball test (!).
I've seen a lot of Tajh Boyd and Walter has us taking Manziel. Both seem to suggest the Browns working in some RO next year. Point of it all? Weeden can't just "show progress." He has to blow some minds, baby.

haha idiot!! who do you think it was??
i'd go w that one lady--not Mary Kay.
and after that probably Mary Kay. haha!
not being sexist just how it see it. them b4 i'd accuse Grossi. he deserves a bit more cred than that...unless the statement was knowingly and rudely taken out of context.
if playing by those rules i could see quite a few more possibilities, about every Doug filled minute there's the low hanging fruit of off-air obtuse Dieken-esque statements that could be easily convoluted into something treacherously unrecognizable. personally i love the guy, but lets just say someone had an axe to grind with an opportunity to generate some draw...
but if that were the case the would probably come forth. and if that's the case im going w my first choice of that lady. the one with the heavy Great Lakes accent that typically asks all of the ridiculous questions.
i could just hear her asking someone like Pat Kirwin something like that. did i mention she annoys me?
fwiw i really like that one guy. you know who I mean. that one guy. he got in frame quite a lot last year. at first i see a guy like him and i think "omg i think he's going to ask something" full attention like im staring at a train wreck. and irony at its best the dude shatters doubts instantly asking quality questions that pulls out some the most insightful and detailed answers of the interview...and often capping off with a smooth follow up. ok im rambling. but this is the shit inside Browns fans. we notice these things. and we all have our favorites. hell my sisters was Dawson. and my Moms was Cribbs. (of course they were!) they are having their worst offseason in a decade! all perspectives.

We had a ball. I agree with all Cal said about players.
Side notes:
1) My one 7 yr old twin Granddaughter Lexi is fast. When she went through that inflatable, the guy working it laughed & commented on how fast she blew through it. At the game, she said,"Grampy, that #51 (Mingo) is FAST...He's even faster than ME!" High praise from a 7 year old girl.
2) The 3 Granddaughters all had their pics taken with Joe Thomas' Aunt ...She (sporting her orange Mohawk) & her husband are real fun people.
3) I believe my Grandkids have adopted Cal & his Bride, Pat.
4) Kids also loved the laser & fireworks show too.
BTW, most impressive?......#1 running that ball!!
Mike

i didnt attend but from all ive heard sounds like a home run for fan experience thus far. that took minimal effort to set-up, emotionally moved everyone in the crowd and anyone who even read about it, and gave that family an experience and memory they will never forget. a special moment i wish i had seen in person. good job by the Browns PR. they really aren't fucking around.

Wheezy throws a pretty ball, but until he improves his reads and quickens his release, he will only be average. All last year he looked more like a pitcher complete with his little mini-wind-up. Hopefully the staff can beat the baseball out of him this camp. A slow release and staring down WR's is a bad, bad combo.
Weeds is known to often throw without the laces, choosing speed over accuracy. possible this is why he throws innacurate balls at times.
he claims to have worked on eliminating padding the ball before windup--we shall see. but his release, arm mechanics, and speed he gets uncorked are some of his strengths i feel, and better footwork and decision-making quality and quickness can fix a lot of last year's problems.

I think his release is just fine. I have to differ here. He doesn't have a big windup.
He has the dreaded "slow eyes" though. So they say.
We'll see Thursday nite.... but I know what I saw time after time last year... and just now at NFL.com. It's not "a big wind-up"... just a wind-up... but it's there. One week 15 throw vs WSH he's holding the ball mid-chest... obscurring all of the #3 on the front of his jersey. At first move the top half of the 3 is uncovered and the ball still blocks the bottom half of the 3. In other words at first move the ball went down...
Can't recover from a first move like that...
Here's what a quick release looks like... straight to the right shoulder from chest high and then gone...

Well, it has always been well known that between Namath and Marino they had the quickest release in the game....though, I do notice on a few occasions on that video that Namath also gives a little tap to the ball before he throws it.

I am waiting for the "Your mother was a hamster, and your father smells of eldeberries" line. Who will be first?

Joe was the fastest I've seen. By contrast even Marino drew the ball back after raising it to his right shoulder.
And yup... a lot of great QB's tap the ball. Brady is a ball tapper. Not a desirable trait, but not a killer, if not compounded by an elongated route to the throwing position.

Aaron Rodgers currently has the fastest release in the history of the NFL, faster than Marino. Fact. BUT... there's talk that Tajh Boyd has an insane timed release. Eager to see someone put it up against Rodgers.

Source? Google only turned up debates... not only who has fastest, but also what the definition of "release" is... maybe that's the issue here as well. I've always understod it to be time from first move in throwing to ball leaves hand.
And by the above definition... sorry, but no way Rodgers' is faster than Joe Willie's...
