Did you notice the Weeden joke? Anyway, Gordon's from Houston. Practically everyone there drinks drank and/or smokes weed. Hopefully, being away from his hometown and having to worry about his salary will straighten him out. We certainly don't need him following Haden's path.

Utterly ecstatic about Richardson, Weeden and Quinn you mean? Just having the picks means nothing if you bust big time on them. It will take more than Mingo to convince me Lombardi can tell his ass from a hole in the ground when it comes to evaluating talent.

The off season with Gordon getting back home is my big concern too & that's a HUGE risk. So far, I'm pretty pleased with the moves THIS regime has made, so let's just see what happens. His value is high right now, & that's not a bad thing.

It's funny how one bad game can influence opinions, say if Gordon had 100+ yards and a couple of td's against GB I don't know if we'd all be ready to trade him this week.

The Gordon risk vs. draft pick risk is a good point, I think the draft pick is looking safer where we're at now we'll see, then again a bird in the hand.. or more like grenade.

As far as LomBanner goes they get no credit for Mingo since he was a top10 pick.. they did nothing with the rest of the draft. Mingo still has a lot to prove anyway, he needs to develop an inside move.. looking good so far but so did Kam Wimbley his first year.

if we trade him for a first rounder it would be a superbowl contending team, which means it will be about 28-32nd -- aka an early second rounder.

If we could get a starting CB and Evans next yeat I'd do it though.

Have you guys heard any new rumors with this? A friend of mine said the Redskins were interested in him. I would LOVE LOVE LOVE Josh Gordon to be a Skin. I think hes going to be a top tier wr. I was told by my friend we were offering fred davis and a mid round draft pick but I didnt think he was being honest just because Jordan Cameron is setting the league on fire and Cleveland doesnt need another TE. But he then told me they want to run 2 TE sets, so I started getting my hopes up, you guys know anything new?>

If Gordon didn't have the two strikes, what would he be worth? Multiple high picks, probably. A first and a third? Two firsts?

If Gordon didn't have the strikes, but was injury prone (rather than suspension prone) what would he be worth? A first? I'd say suspension prone is better than injury prone, from a football perspective. So a first rounder and a low rounder probably is fair, I guess. Or a first rounder and a proven vet at a position of need - ILB, RB, DB, OL, QB.

That being said, I'd be tempted to set up this trade to happen at the end of the season (if that's even possible).

Guys, there is no f***ing way anybody is trading a 1st round pick for Josh Gordon. My guess is the best offer so far is a 2nd rounder, and that's probably from New England. Other offers probably include 3rd or 4th round picks and a player. Again, no f***ing way we get a 1st rounder and a starter... get that out of your head!!!

Then why trade him?

#1 receivers don't grow on trees, as this franchise is painfully aware. And Banner should be as well ... that was the Eagles Achilles Heal. The only year they made it to the SB was when they had T.O.

To trade a 22 year old standout receiver, with every physical tool you would ever want from a receiver, who we STOLE as a second round supplementary pick ... for a second round pick is maddening.

I wish Banner would just come out and say "Fuck you, we're not trading him".

We're going to bring a rookie QB in next year and who is he going to be throwing to ... Little and bess? Wont that be fun.
