Now, this list may be full of crap, but for the sake of

    draft musing alone...

which two, given the top 25 on this list, would be the most

dynamic two additions to the Browns roster?

    Bridgewater/Yankey?

Watkins/Garoppolo who isn't even on the list?

    Carr/Devante Adams?

It's mind-warping. Garoppolo is climbing. Maybe NOT a qb in the first round?

nah. No way, I think. The Browns will at least pick a qb with the first or second pick.

They'll have to, because chances are, a few teams will wait til the top of the second

    before the Browns' second.

So, who are the most dramatic, blue chip additions?

Most everybody doubts TE and OLB, but I left them in.

I want Cleveland to draft Blake Bortles or Jimmy Garoppolo. I like what I see out of both of them. All the big name school QBs are overrated this year. I would go after WR with the first pick unless Bortles or Garoppolo really move up the draft board.. Bortles seems to be getting a lot more attention but Garoppolo will likely fly under the radar due to playing for a smaller school.

  • I think it was SBnation that had the Browns drafting

    Manziel (NO !!!)...

    and Devante Adams, wr.

Interesting to note, that the same site features an article about

the top 6 "destined to fail" players in the draft.

    Manziel was #1. Seriously.

The ones in red are where I wouldn't mind seeing them go, though I am not sure about the CB.

They have Shazier listed as an OLB....but he has played primarily inside all year long.

  • Knowing Lombardi, he will probably draft some guy that is projected to be a 4th-5th rounder in the Top Ten just to try to prove how smart he is.....that he knows more than everyone else. (and yet that pick will be come a complete bust....like so many of his in history)

  • I'll puke if Manziel gets picked that high.

  • Right now the Browns would be slated into the 22d or 23rd slot with the Colts pick. It is possible that the likes of Lee, Yanke, Shazier could be gone. Where do you go then?

BPA. If it ends up being a TE then fine, another receiver is something we're lacking. If it's a pass rusher, fine. If it's a tackle, fine.

  • yeah they did the BPA a couple of years ago looking for their RT in schwartz.

how has that worked out for them?

So, what, don't draft the best player available?

  • Schwartz has had good days, and bad days. He isn't

a Joe Thomas. He has the feet, and can get the strength. I wonder

if he has been playing banged up...

He has shoved back to the qb...but a -smart- qb would see the field, and make a decision,

and get rid of the ball. So, a bad qb will make the line look a lot worse than it is, relating

a bit to what Shep has said about it. Without Hoyer in there, that is the case, more than anything else. But Lauvao... he isn't agile enough to be a good pass defender, regardless of who the qb is.

  • Referring to Gip's question - here's the next set of the list, which again, is just a list

for the sake of discussion. Nobody is going to think this IS the list:

For that second first, with the players the Browns would want to pick.. gone,

they would "reach" for another player they know will be a great fit, and

the second round pick would probly also be from this list. Maybe.

not saying i hate the guy....maybe he'd be 2nd string to a REAL RT.

I think The Schwartz will be OK. He has had somewhat of a sophomore slump, but that position is one of the least of our worries. Obviously QB/RB/OG/ILB maybe WR are more priority.

  • One other concern to think about: Who might the Browns lose in FA? According to USA Today sports the Browns don't have a single FA coming up this offseason. I find that a bit hard to believe.

Does anyone know differently? I though both Mack and Ward were potentially up.

It would be hell to try to replace those guys in the draft with all the Browns other concerns.

  • Standing pat:

I'd like Derek Carr (1a) & Eric Ebron or Davonte Adams (1b)

(Or even better Jace Amaro or Marquise Lee if our Colts pick was a little higher than I'm thinking)
