Browns vs. Steeler LB corps

Thanks for clearing that up though, its the job of the squire to keep the king abreast of important issues. Job well done. I will give you extra time outside tomorrow. You've earned it.
As the real king it is my job to help all the hopeless Vags who only look forward to being pounded by Big Ben Rapistburger

Sooo you're a fluffer?

Bell is no doubt up there with the best. I'm sure if you ask in Seattle would they trade Lynch for Bell straight up (based on ability, not contract/retirement) they'd at least consider it before refusing. Same for KC and Charles. And if you ask the steelers would they swap bell for either, they'd consider before refusing.
Almost...except the Steelers would refuse without even considering it. Without a doubt.

No fear of his marijuana use? That year-long suspension isn't very fun. I remember saying I wouldn't trade Josh Gordon for any other receiver... until he couldn't pass a drug test...

These Browns Board vs. Steeler troll threads are the worst.
These Browns Board vs. Steeler troll threads are the worst.
Just for that I will start a few more.

It isn't that I hate those threads, but because of their cheap shotting,
and their stink and stupidity (a clear Troy Pollywannacrakonyu reference)...
to talk about the squealers on this board, is like Mo and "Niagra Falls"......

He's had one offence. He's got a long way to go before he grabs a year long one and honestly the steelers would probably cut him before it got to that point. No I nor anyone else in Pittsburgh are worried about the marijuana.

Those listed as playing for the Browns have one huge problem which makes it impossible to evaluate them. They play for an organization with little or no leadership and a long standing history of buffoonery......you may as well be trying to compare the Bad News Bears with a legitimate little leage team........it's all a guess at best.
Their talent can be fairly compared. While franchise instability has indeed been a factor....some others here have quoted sources that attempt to be totally neutral.
And while the Browns FO has undergone this buffonery....it is a rank amateur to the vast majority of the Steeler fan base who have made ignorance and stupidity into an art form.

I would expect the trolling.....I would not expect the ignorance/stupidity.

5. The Notre Dame Fighting Irish
1. Alabama Crimson Tide.
Note: Steelers #1 dumbest amongst all professional sport fan bases.

Where is the ignorance and stupidity? If you want to go that route I've experienced that more here from browns fans than anyone else. Whether its talking about the browns or other teams. Thenew23 spewed some nonsense in this thread a few times for example.

You mistake stupidity for being bitch slapped by Browns fans.
Someone provides you a factoid that is not adoring of a Steeler player....and you insist that neutral, mathematical statistics are wrong....because they do not say what you want them to say.

Gipper Antonio brown isn't a special receiver and Hawkins is better after the catch? Seriously?Where is the ignorance and stupidity?

West and Crowell are just as good as Bell? Neither have any sort of footing in reality.

I believe that what thenew23 said was that Brown, without BR throwing to him, would not be so special. That a special QB can make a WR seem special. I am assuming that he may be comparing him say to Josh Gordon. Brown has a HOF QB pitching him the ball. Two years ago, when Gordon was breaking all kinds of receiving records, he had Jason Campbell and Brandon Weeden throwing the ball. What do you think Gordon could have done if he partnered with an actual good to great QB?
That does not mean though that you are wrong....Brown has proven to be a big play guy.
And I think he said that West and Crowell have potential as a combination to excel. They were both rookies, sharing duties after all.
Let's see how the two of them did combined as rookies vs. what Bell did as a rookie:
Carries: Bell 244 W/C 319
Yards: Bell 860 W/C 1280
TDs: Bell 8 W/C 12
YPC: Bell 3.5 W/C 4.0
YPG: Bell 66.2 W/C 86
As rookie runners, W/C outperformed Bell's combined rookie rushing stats.
Now, here is how their rookie stats compare to Bell's stats this past year:
Carries Bell 290 W/C 319
Yards: Bell 1361 W/C 1280
TDs: Bell 8 W/C 12
YPC: Bell 4.7 W/C 4.0
YPG: Bell 85.1 W/C 86.
Of course you can say that you should not compare one player to two. Perhaps fair enough, but remember W/C did not start out as the primary ball carrier for the Browns. That was Ben Tate. And his stats are not included here.
So, Bell's stats for his second year are nearly identical to those of the West/Crowell combination....as rushers.
( I did not include Bell's and W/Cs pass catching stats.....I suspect Bell would have done better there.)
So, if thenew23 said that W/C were just as good as Bell......he would be right on. Bell's advantage was in YPC. But yards/ypg/TDs all statistically similar.

Bell got hurt as a rookie and his most recent performance was dominant. Brown would be a monster on any football team. He runs arguably the best routes in the league. He's consensus top 5 and some list him as number one. The new said some stupid shit. It cannot be defended. Edit: bell also caught 83 balls for almost 900 yards.I believe that what thenew23 said was that Brown, without BR throwing to him, would not be so special. The big advantage Bell had is definitely in the receiving game this past year:
Bell 83 catches 854 yards, 10.3 ypc, 53.4 ypg 3 TDs
W/C 20 catches 151 yards 7.7 ypc 12.0 ypg 1 TD
I don't know, but I suspect it is possible that Bell may have had the best receiving stats for a RB in the league.

The stats listed above....sans receiving....show he was just about dead on and his statement there perfectly defensible.
Would Brown be a monster playing with the QBs the Browns have? Not so sure....maybe.

Maybe.....but he has a long, long, long, long, long way to catch up with yinz.
And, you never know....under the Browns new OC maybe those guys can come close to duplicating in their secons season what Bell did in his second in receiving.
Depends on the offense and the quality of the QB throwing it to him.

It really doesn't. Bell runs receiver quality routes. He would put up ridiculous numbers in Cleveland too.
