Scientists admit they underestimated the number of trees

For years now, I've argued about the farce "mmgw".
And not once has a lib who wailed about mmgw ever brought
up the destruction of the earth's global rainforests.
I always have to bring it up, because they fart about "we have
to do something here in America"... (turning down thermostats,
taxing every freakin thing they can think of, stop cows from
farting, bitch about big corps causing it so they can get tons
of money from those corps, ....
and they -never- talk about the destruction of the rainforests. I mean,
millions and millions of acres of rainforest.
Always "tax, alternative energy, tax more, vote for liberal because of mmgw
and he talks about it, those rednecks and their pickup trucks, those who drive
those nasty big SUV's, stop people and corps from burning fossile fuels, or
fine them out of existence (the obamao way)...
so, I keep bringing up the destruction of the rainforests.
because if we non-liberals on the board don't bring it up, it will never be
mentioned. And that's a fact. So, they either don't care, or they are so
ignorant, they can't think of it as a problem.
-
Sorry, I forgot to insult you and everyone else while disagreeing with you
can I still play? -
You are all about science until some nut job MAN says the "feel" like a woman. Then you ignore the science that clearly indicates that the person has an X and Y chromosome (therefore they are a man) and you ignore the clear observation that they are a man just because the mentally ill person says they feel like a woman.
It's interesting how stupid you really can be sometimes.
What the fuck are you talking about?
I'm pretty sure Chris' follow up addressed this post appropriately

So any "study" that supports your views is valid? That explains a lot.

bullshit bullshit bullshit. Complete and utter farcical bullshit. Not to be believed under any circumstances. I grew up in the 80's during non stop save the rainforest documentaries couple times a year. You were probably already in your 50's then so I know this wasn't "before your time". Horseshit horseshit horseshit. You lie out of your ass if you think i'm going to believe you had all these convo's with vast amounts of libs specifically about the environment but none of them ever brought up the rainforests. Peddle that miracle oil somewhere else.
-
It's ok, the fact that you quoted a biased, faulted study as real science is insulting enough.
I'd be interested to hear why you think that's the case?
-
and I love how the issue is now being framed as is gw being caused by the incessant burning of fossil fuels OR is it the destruction of the rainforests.....cause it can't be both right? Has to be one or the other.
facepalm.

On the board, douche. ON THE BOARD.
Your wild ass emotional outbursts don't make you
look like you have any kind of a point.

so ur trying to paint yourself as the browns board "save the whale, er, rainforest" hippy dippy stoner now? You've got to be kidding me. This fantasy life of yours is getting crazier by the minute.

I've never heard Cal talk about dangers malaria poses in some countries. I can't believe you don't care about that.

Ikr? I for one want to make sure everyone knows that because I hven't ever brought up sudden infant death syndrome here, I don't care about your babies sudden deaths. I mean why would I? They should have been aborted anyway right? <----lols, who saw what I did there?
-
nah. We don't generally ever discuss diseases, nor do we discuss
the deaths of bables outside of abortion/murder. A lot of bad things happen,
but we are talking about politics.

right so just because someone's never brought up a specific point doesn't mean they don't care about it. It just never came up. Good to know. Next time you might try asking first before you accuse people of not giving a fuck about something. You could start that query off with "do you give a fuck about (insert noun)" try that sometime.
-
again, if we are discussing mmgw endlessly, for years, and it never comes up,
unless I or a couple of non-mmgw believers bring it up...
it is very obvious that you can't get libs to talk about it.

Please read to the end! The Washington PostThe Arctic Ocean is warming up, icebergs are growing scarcer and in some
places the seals are finding the water too hot, according to a report to the
Commerce Department yesterday from Consulate, at Bergen, Norway.Reports from fishermen, seal hunters and explorers all point to a radical
change in climate conditions and hitherto unheard-of temperatures in the Arctic
zone.Exploration expeditions report that scarcely any ice has been met as far
north as 81 degrees 29 minutes, (81°, 29").Soundings to a depth of 3,100 meters showed the gulf stream still very
warm. Great masses of ice have been replaced by moraines of earth
and stones, the report continued, while at many points well known glaciers have
entirely disappeared.Very few seals and no white fish are found in the eastern Arctic, while
vast shoals of herring and smelts which have never before ventured so far north,
are being encountered in the old seal fishing grounds.Within a few years it is predicted that due to the ice melt the sea will
rise and make most coastal cities uninhabitable.I must apologize. I neglected to mention that this report was from
November 2, 1922, as reported by the AP and published in The Washington Post -

In the 8th century BC the Egyptians believed the earth was flat. While I haven't read every study that suggests climate change is a modern problem nor have I read every response, I tend to hedge my bets on global preservation.

I prefer to listen to scientists who tell the TRUTH:

Yes yes yes the numbers say the climate is changing. No disagreement from me. I would also guess that mankind might have something of an effect on that. How much and what can or will possibly be done about that? I have absolutely no idea nor do most of the people here despite the ongoing screaming match. In the 8th century BC the Egyptians believed the earth was flat. I'm just repeating my matter since you just recently joined the fracas.
(my gut feeling is that those who claim it isn't happening at all are just doing so to rattle the cages of the few who seemed to be hyperventilating over it

No, climate CHANGE is happening. It always has been.
But global warming is nonsense. I just posted an article about
the ice expanding.
And 140 scientists want the UN to put up, or shut up.
