Camp Trade Down

The Browns Board

  • #Browns seem very likely to trade the #2 pick in the #NFLDraft, from what I've heard. But don't rule out #49ers, they have asked about pick.

    It's hotting up

This one says Browns Eagles have agreed a framework

    http://www.waitingfornextyear.com/2016/04/browns-eagles-nfl-draft-trade-rumors/

  • @AllbrightNFL

1/2 As I said yesterday, the cost to move to #2 is expected to be significantly less than moving to #1. #Eagles trying to get there, #Browns
    @AllbrightNFL
2/2 seeing if other offers can help them leverage for more. There are other teams interested.
  • Last night, Alex Marvez reports that if the Browns and Eagles reach an agreement on a trade that would send the No. 2 overall pick to Philadelphia, it would include the two teams swapping first-round picks in 2016 with the Eagles sending the Browns two third-round picks this year, their first-rounder in 2017 and their 2017 third-round selection.

However, Schefter mentioned during the interview that he believes the price to move up to No. 2 would be less than that. Eagles would like the trade completed today.

Schefter says we may take less ........here we go, are we going to be screwed again ?

    Report: Potential Trade Between #Browns & #Eagles Expected To Include 1st & 3rd-Rd Picks In 2016 & 2017 If Completed

So Eagles 1st and 3rd this year and next.....thoughts ?

    That Twitter account is garbage.

But no, I wouldn't take that. I'd want a first and second this year at the very least, along with a first next year.

If Wentz is gone and we can move back, still pick before 10 and pick up an extra second, we'd be able to likely come away with a very good LB, a very good WR and/or a very good DL without first three picks.

I wouldn't hate moving back to #7, getting SF's second, then getting, say, Jack, Nkemdiche and Smith.

Or, if injury worries you, getting Buckner, Spence, and Boyd.

And, of course, that opens the door to getting Lynch at #32. Not my first choice for QB, but I'd rather Lynch at #32 than Goff at #2.

+1 because this is exactly how I feel. The ONLY way I'd be happy with this trade is if the Browns used those picks as ammunition to move into the early 2nd for a guy like Lynch

Mark my words....Lynch will go in Top 15-20.

Agreed ,,,,he wont get past Jets at 20 unless they have Fitz signed before the draft then they will go pass rush .....

  • Tim- the problem is that the Eagles do not have a 2nd rounder anymore to give us. Already traded away.

So take the two thirds and turn them into a 2nd... Should reach the 50th overall or so... 🙂

The real trick Sashi faces is convincing trades partners to use the traditional chart when we are moving down:

    draftvalue1.jpg?w=640

And our Director of Football Research's chart when we are trading up...

Here's his Harvard paper... it's been posted here before.

  • If We can trade down one more time and get another 2017 1st rd pick on top of it I'd be hard pressed not to be overjoyed if we found a way to get Treadwell

I suspect we have a target (or targets) picked out @ #8 and if he/they is/are there we pull the trigger. If target(s) gone we have a another target further down and try to trade to that level on draft day. And I'd rather have Fuller or Doctson rather than Treadwell if we are shooting WR as our first (which I doubt anyway).

    That would be incredible.

Well, there is that rumor about the Tits wanting to come up. But would Treadwell still be there at #15? I kinda doubt it.

He had a slow 40 time so it might cause a slight fall to 15. I wouldn't hate it at all.

  • Rappaport reporting Browns in discussions to trade out of 8 for Elliott ( if Dallas dont take him ) or an OT ....11, 13 , 15 the proposed landing spots for Cleveland

I've been saying for some time an OL will be one of our first picks.

  • No ...I meant a team will move up to 8 for Elliott ( Miami or Chicago ) or an OT ( Tennessee )

Fair enough. I stand by what I said though.

Jerry Rice had a slow 40 time. About the same as Treadwell.

    You are very wise...

  • Expecting at least 3 more trades in the 1st round tonite. No better place to watch draft unfold than our live shows online @CBSSports

    3 more ...Browns to 13 then to 20 then to ? 🙂

  • So Sashi is saying the right things - there are eight players they are happy taking, so moving back to eighth is perfect, and it would take a monster offer to make them trade back.

Do you believe it? And if so, what is the offer?
