Well this Sunday 1 pm GAMEDAY BROWNS in Pittsburgh special, does it get any better......well 5-1 would make it a whole bunch better !    😁

My wife likes the Baked Cornish Hens, I'm a little more partial to the big oven roasted chicken with all the trimmings but whatever there NO losers there. Bon appetit !

AND this NO COOK Sunday we've got a bunch of gift cards so we're going to the Olive Garden I'm getting the big salad, shrimp scampi and the chocolate mousse bowtie dessert.  My wife is getting the eggplant whatever plus we're planning a meal for tomorrow too.

Monday I've got a 5 pm check-in at our local hospital for an MRI of my hip and we're hoping to be home by 7 or so and then another OG dinner.

And if you didn't already know It's National Pasta Day if we didn't have enough special days already.

    Texas Pecan halves sounds delicious.

If we had jalapeno peppers at home I'd try those for an appetizer today haven't had them in a while.  I used to buy the frozen ones and heat and eat but these are going on the menu for our next shopping trip.

Today's GAMEDAY meal is going to be grilled smoked sausage on big buns and the usual go alone like olives, dill pickles, chips with spinach dip and whatever else we dig up.

GO BROWNS, no skyline chili today.    😆

  • String beans and taters.  Love 'em.  I make them to this day.

She did add some onion to the recipe you posted..

So simple and so good.  My wife prefers the corn bread...... which I like too.  Ummmmmm, dang I'm hungry for it again.   😛

WOW!.. Where you get those Brontosaurus steaks from?

  • Fresh Thyme. Whole Foods like chain in Cbus. They had a sale way back and I backed up the truck and filled the freezer. Tomahawks are typically a rip off. They charge you more because of the curb appeal, but it’s just a ribeye with a bone in it. Looks cool though.

I don't think I could eat half of that size steak anymore.. My appetite has wanned a bit with getting over and taking Ozempic once a week which curbs your appetite...

I know what you mean about almost being able to smell it when thinking about it.  I think all of our grandma's were the best cook we have ever known.

The onions add a nice flavor to the liquor.  The onion itself is pretty tasteless after boiling out the beans, but does flavor the whole pot.

My sister and I would take the corn bread and crumble it up in the bowl to form almost a cornbread "mush".

Ribeyes have become my favorite grilling steaks...... never tried one with the massive bone in, does look cool.  😛

Ahhhh yes the world of grilling steaks......

  • My local market always has a prime steak selection.

One week it might be ribeyes, the next strips, etc.  Always thick cut at 2 inches
