  • Ya that kinda starts with not blowing two first round draft picks every year.

  • Now that's not to say he hasn't had a great season but McCown played decent and we're still 3 and 12.

  • That's why I said attempt to build this team haha

  • What rounds did the NYJ's draft Nick Mangold and D'Brickashaw Ferguson in? Round 1?

Thought only the Browns were dumb enough to draft OL in the first round? You're saying theres other teams that are winning that do that? Damn....

That would be a great place to start for sure

  • Personally were a long ways away and I don't give a shit what happens but farmers definitely gotta go.

  • God forbid you get a gm and coach that are competent and can work together...

  • the Jets also have 2 wr that are big and talented

  • The Jets are 10-5..because of Fitzpatrick right? I know Johnny is probably not the answer but anyone who thinks a quarterback will fix this team is delusional. We need to keep attempting to build this team before we draft a quarterback.

QB as the last piece is the hardest path to follow.

IF there is a Rnd 1 worthy prospect in this year's draft, I say take him.

If not, then take a later prospect.

Either way, you have to keep looking for your next QB... especially when he is not on your roster. And I do not think he is...

How many teams have been built without a good Qb,and then plugged in a good Qb and won?

Kurt Warner and the Rams come to mind, but that's about it.

Most good teams have good Qb's

LOL! True, this looks like the 3rd consecutive Coaching staff Mangold and Ferguson are going to accompany into a post season. And what would make Bill Belichick take such leave of his senses to draft a guy like OT Nate Solder in the first round a few years ago?

The Ravens didn't really contend until they got Flacco.

  • I mean if there's a sure fire guy yeah you absolutely take him. But how often is that and you need to be able to evaluate talent which we cannot do.

  • And the Bengals Dalton and the Pats Brady and the Seahawks...

Point is that they kept looking...

Prior to Flacco the Ravens drafted a QB 7 of the 12 prior years. Since then... twice in 7 years. The priority changes; the emphasis changes, but they kept looking and they keep looking..

Teams not waiting for a QB until last?

Bucs, Titans, Jags, Oakland, Indy, Washington, CAR

Teams that waited and are still waiting:

    Philly, Houston, NYJ, BUF

They won a SB before Flacco was there

True, 8 years prior to drafting Flacco.

The Stoolers were 9 years removed from a SB before drafting the Rapist.
