  • anything less than 10 wins is unacceptable

  • i'll give the staff a little more slack and we HAVE to be at lest .500 next year. that's 4 more wins than we'll have this year. that's an improvement.

then 2015 if we ain't in the playoffs................

  • Absolutely no point in going forward with the current regime. Their entire draft was a bust. Their FA signings were a bust. They cut players that go on to have pro bowl seasons compared to what they kept on the roster. Our DC is a joke. We can't gain 2 yards when given 7 trys. Really? Someone please try to convince me as to why this group can win more that 4 games next year, cause I don't see it. And please don't use the continuity BS, the only continuity this group will bring is back to back 4 win seasons. Every free agent on this team is going to bolt for higher ground leaving even more holes to fill. PLEASE JIMMY FIRE THEM ALL, it's all I ask for Christmas.

You're entitled to you opinion, but frankly, you're full of shit and here's why. 1) You calling Mingo a bust? 2) enlighten me as to who the Browns cut that's having a Pro Bowl season. FYI they dumped super bust Richardson and got at least 30 cents on the dollar over it. BTW, Whittaker and McGahee are averaging about the same ypc than our departed super stud, Baker is a practice squad player so STFU about the lack of rushing. It might help if the Browns guards didn't suck.

LOL, so tell me, who just won the AFC North? by your standards, Marvin Lewis should have been fired multiple times- and you got your wish when Artie fired HOFer Bill Belichick prematurely.

nope I'm the one and only and I'm fed up with the bullshit they keep running out on the field. Everyone looking through beer goggles keeps hitting the replay button oh just give em a chance to get their players in here. They had their chance and blew every opportunity. Andy Reid took a two win team and is in the playoffs this year. Open your fukcing eyes people it can be done in one offseason. How many 4 win seasons do you people want to go through?

Don't bring up the Chiefs either- they already had a studly defense in place- 4 Pro Bowlers, and ummmm they've had exactly ONE quarterback this year, care to tell me how many the Browns have gone through? You blaming Wee-done on Haslam too? Incidentally, the Browns may well have beaten the Chiefs in KC no less- if Bess hadn't been lighting up fatties before the game. Gee, I suppose nothing less than 100% success rate on free agents is going to keep you happy.

Sure, keep dreaming- or find another team, the Broncos and Seahawks are accepting frontrunners. so assuming you were a Texans or Falcons fan, you going to kill yourself? I'm sure tons of their fans said anything less than 10 wins is unacceptable. They were all set up for a Super Bowl run, didn't exactly happen, no? Lions were set up for the playoffs, that isn't happening either.

FYI Chud is the best coach the Browns have had in the expansion era, and you'd have to go back to Marty or Rutigliano to find an equal- and FYI- I go all the way back to Paul Brown. You can only coach the hand you're dealt. There's been one constant since 1999 for the Browns- Blowing everything up every 2-3 years. This time, I'm sticking with the program.

  • yeah i agree, as much as i hate what i've seen from this so-called all-star brilliant coaching staff.

you gotta give them more than one year to prove themselves.

players are adjusting to new schemes, coaches are looking at players as to whether or not they can fit in their scheme etc. etc.

but even saying that, there was nothing impressive coming from the sidelines this year. nothing. and as far as horton is concerned, he might as well kiss that hope of a HC position goodbye, at least until he proves he and his system can work under chud in cleveland.

and where did norv go? was he even around?

  • With Horton people need to stop talking about top ten defense based on pas or rushing yards allowed. Those stats are meaningless, the defensive stat that matters is points allowed per game, and it has to be less than the offenses points scored per game. When that happens we can talk about how great the D is.

the best defense is a great offense/running game.

Yep that would take a lot of the pressure off D don't disagree there.

  • Hoorta I didn't say pro bowl season, I said pro bowl season "COMPARED TO" what they kept.

  • anybody know why when I respond to someone's post the post I am responding to does not appear with my response?

  • I am on my phone and u just tap the post you want to respond to and hit quote. The type the response without erasing any text.

  • Hoorta I didn't say pro bowl season, I said pro bowl season "COMPARED TO" what they kept.

Yeah, that Bobby Rainey with his 500 yards is really better that Obi-wan, who with an equal number of attempts would have more yards? Incidentally Rainey had 13 carries for 34 yards when the Browns cut him. Not exactly setting the league on fire.

    Rainey 126 497 3.9

    Obi 49 240 4.9

Damn I sure wish we had kept Rainey- got anyone else I can look up?

Incidentally, you want to respond direct just hit the quote or multi quote button.

BTW, what the Browns really need to do is figure out how to close out the first half and the end of games- that's the area of improvement- they've proven they can hang with anyone- they need to learn how to close out games.

This where I'm mostritical of Turner, Horton, and Chud. They seem to make some really bad play calls at these times and manage the clock poorly.

  • I do that in IE and the quote does not appear but when I use Google Chrome it function properly, so I'm guessing it's an IE issue. I was hoping someone may have experienced this before.

Well said. Like clockwork, every 2 - 3 years, it's new faces in Berea. Which means new schemes, new identities, new QB... etc. And fans wonder why this team never goes anywhere.

I'm beginning to distinctly hate a significant portion of the Browns fan base because they have us in rebuild/retool hell every 2-3 years. Going forward the only thing that will make me not be a Browns fan anymore is if they continue to blow it up. The OP needs to stop being a Browns fan in all seriousness. Whining for the owner to blow it up after 1 season is so utterly bereft of any sort of intelligence in general let alone football IQ, that I really have to scratch my head and ask who the fuck are these people that like watching new stink ever 2 years. And just when we start to show signs of not stinking at that. What we didn't go 16-0? Blow it up jimmy

The fan base has NOTHING to do or to say about the matter or should I say....in the matter.

  • Because I know garbage when I see it. All I saw from this regime is garbage. The only thing they did right was fleece Indy, and that is only if they score with the pick because they failed miserably with every pick this past draft. I'll invite you all over for smoked crow if I'm wrong but sorry people I see it for what it is and it's all garbage. There are 3 first year coaches that have 8 wins or more this year and 1 will probably have 11 wins. So if 4 wins excites you enjoy because 4 wins is all you are getting next year.

    No!!

  • That excuse doesn't fly when you have a first year coach come from the college ranks and has 9 wins in Philly. I want immediate results not 5 year plans. I'm sick and tired of 5 year plans. Turnarounds can happen in one offseason.

You're sick and tired of 5 year plans......when was the last time we had a 5 year coach? I think you have to go back before the move no? Butch was here 3 or 4 years, i think that was the longest tenure. And no immediate results are not possible here in Cleveland. Sorry they just aren't.
