Bottom line....is Cleveland was left its history, colors, heritage and promise to have team returned witin 3 years (and it was)....also, here in Baltimore we got over the whole Colts thing long ago. Plus i'm 25, so I was born without a football team in town.

I almost got sent home from work the day Art made the announcement down on the Baltimore harbor. Google "Mike Ditka" commenting on the Browns move....it was a dark day in NFL history, just like the Colts fleeing in '83.
Saw the Ditka thing...I mean I've also heard Ditka talk about how great it is that footballs back in Baltimore, so whats the difference? He's not gonna be like "yay the browns are leaving". I could guide you to watch and read many things about the Baltimore Colts move....

Cleveland could have easily retained the browns had they been willing to spend a fraction of what they spent on the new browns stadium (after the team had left) talk about closing the barn door after the horse ran away. I would certainly hope so. They were made from a real nfl team. The 99 Browns were never considered a true expansion team and therefore received the shaft when acquiring personel. So to say a Browns team with a solid foundation had absolutly no bearing on a ravens superbowl in 2000 is very ignorant. We were long over the Irsay thing...the SB in 2000 was just for our own pride and validation that what Irsay did was a bad move. The 2000 SB was more of a pound your chest win honestly lol. We got the Ogden pick for finishing 5-11 after Art pulled the rug on the 95 season. We got the Lewis pick from a trade with SF.
They were draft picks that belonged to Cleveland when the team moved. Way to know your history.
