Odin traded his eye for the ability to see the future before the Battle of Ragnarok.

A battle in which the fallen warriors from Valhalla were defeated, you blasphemer.

  • No, he is not my "authority" at all. He's just a comedian, telling a joke that is germane to the topic of this post.

But, unlike God, Allah, Jesus, Jehovah, Krishna, Buddha, Ram, Shiva, Brahma, Osiris, Thor, Odin, Zeus, Huitzilopochtli, Zoroaster, and all the other made up fables....at least there is tangible evidence for George Carlin's (and the Sun's) existence.Jblu

You gonna worship cockroaches? they exist... have for eons, maybe. Jblu the cockroachmeister?

"well, they EXIST, therefore I like them !"

But seriously, I exist, too, but there was a time when I came close to not existing anymore, therefore,

that is tangible proof that God IS there, to me.

You believe it was Odin, because your viking priest tells you it was Odin. He knows it was Odin because Odin said he would do it, and Odin must be believed. Odin said so.

I never debated the existence of God with atheists/unbelievers before and I quickly saw before anyone else had even said anything I was using circular reasoning. I posted an article earlier that made a good case for the existence of God without using the bible but to make the case for a personal God I have to use the bible. I have to use "what the bible says". I can use archeology discoveries to prove the accuracy of bible stories such as the story about Jericho but I cannot explain a personal God without the cross and without what the bible says about salvation. If you are talking with someone who doesn't believe the bible it is an immediate stalemate.
