seems our game vs Coach Cuddles and the pats will be a National Game on prime

I look for the Browns to trade down from #6

@nickers said: At this point the season is so lost it doesn't matter when they can him.... At this point tank the season.. There's really nothing left to save... Hopefully the Laptop hive mind nerds Depodesta and Berry get canned as well and take all of their "Data Points" with them... if Stupanski's play-calling wasn't so lacking in instinct, I would remember that yep, it goes deeper - Berry has some merits, except for the watson debacle etc, but depo - needs to go. As much as I like the last draft, minus the qb's..... the Browns never seem to have any legit plan for building the team into a winner. But trading Baker away after letting him play with a stupid sling.... goes right up there with a short list of the very worst trades the Browns have ever made.

@orion said: The Browns are smartly stating that the bottom 5 spots of their roster are usually for developmental players.  Players that kind of rotate in and out.  So, they have no problem keeping 4 QB's on the roster.  Whether or not they actually think having 4 QB's is a problem or not doesn't matter.  They're telling the rest of the league, Hey!  Don't be waiting for us to cut one of them.  Because we are fine with keeping all 4.   Unless one of the veteran QBs get injured - I'd like to see the Browns use one of them to trade for help in the Secondary. I'm not talking training camp soft tissue injuries/pulls either.

wow. what a game

Im just hoping Flacco goes for 350 and 4Td against the ravens in the playoffs, at Cleveland ofc since we’ll get home field

@flugel said: I could be wrong here - but I think they used to have a penalty for that called "helping the runner." I know that you can't do it on defense on FG's.  But they've been allowing some pushing for some years now.  The Eagles are not trying to hide it anymore.

@mld-woody said: Can't believe ND only had 10 players on the field that last play .... Crazy Yeah, that's really odd. Watching the game on TV, I bet nobody noticed it. Clearly, as one of the tweets in the thread implies, ND's staff screwed up really bad as the ref was giving the "substitution signal."

@gumby73 said: Watched Ainias Smith film ?.. That stud maybe a 2-3rd rounder after Combine speed numbers.. Started Mock sims.. This Aggie gets to in the 50's. Browns pick at 57.. Does Edge have Mike ILB starting ability iyo ?  Put him on my full film game list.. What games to watch? Is he park-able beside JOK in 2nd round? Thanks !     https://thedraftnetwork.com/2023/12/29/edgerrin-cooper-scouting-report-nfl-draft-2024 I hated to see Cooper declare because he was our best defensive player overall. He is such an intelligent player who reads offenses well and has the speed to get to the corners on either side of the field. He runs through ball carriers. They rarely go forwards when he arrives. Any minor things he does wrong can be corrected by excellent pro coaching like we now have. All that said if he and Smith are still there together when we pick, I'd take the more versatile offensive player who can also do all the punt/ko returns and be a slot who finds holes for the QB to zip it in to him. Excellent in the open field. He fills several Browns needs better than another LB.

@dutch-oven said: If the NFL was really concerned about player safety, they'd eliminate Thursday Night Football Exactly. The NFL is SO magnanimous, we can't have Friday Night Football instead (conflicts with high school ball), or Saturday  games... The NCAA and power 5 conferences would have a hissy fit.

PFF analysis Cox 2021

When you think back on this whole Michigan versus Ohio State thing it really gained traction during the Ten Years War period. The Bo Schembechler versus Woody Hayes period,  both teams were good. We had a fundraiser back just out of this period for a local high school teacher from Brookfield Ohio who had MS and a young family.  I got to meet Earle Bruce and Bo at the event.  Earle was ok but Bo was really an amazing guy came all the way down at his own expense.  Amazing event. I try to measure all coaches since on both sides by their examples.  Hopefully the rivalry gets back to that #1 vs #2 standard.  Will it, who knows.

The results speak for themselves-I don't claim to be some all knowing defensive dude in the slightest. But in simple terms we didn't pay $50 million in contracts and use two first round picks to play as much bail coverage than we have been the first two months of the season. I loved how aggressive the scheme was today and it showed, strongly. We can play the EXACT same way against the Pats and the Lions coming up.  Absolutely. I don’t know the numbers but Cincy from what I’ve watched has some athletes on the perimeter and a QB that can sling it deep which made our approach even more surprising.    And That Nickle blitz off the edge - it has worked numerous times this year. We’ve Disguised it really well. I also think the Browns secondary picked up something (tell) from Chase and his route running.  We were very confident and poking in on his short patterns. I was waiting for a double move - maybe that’s next meeting  Moving on, The Pats will dink and dunk you to death and take 8 yards a pass with very few pressure type 3rd and longs if we allow it.  We need to get the rookie qb off schedule which means shutting down the run and forcing bad throws when they do throw it on first down.  If the Front 4 isn’t getting home we need to dial up some additional pressure we can’t wait three quarters to make that adjustment.  We need to do a better job this week of covering the flats they have some pass catching backs that can hurt us.   And it Looks like we are pretty comfortable in man coverage so play it more.

@vagitron said: Can't do it, won't do it. I am very hard left and as most know situationally relentless in my position. The poli board is like accelerant to my current fed up/anger state of mind. I don't have enough cannabis on hand to endure it. Lol

Joe Banner is the human Gollum.

starts at the top, of course, with Baker Mayfield, who is entering his fourth NFL season. He's appeared in 46 games and has started 45 in a row. He's already sixth in franchise history with 11,115 passing yards, fourth with 932 completions and fifth with 75 touchdowns. All three totals are Browns records for a player in his first three seasons.   Pasted from Browns.com.   I'm not going to say how much Baker should be paid or how much he’s worth, but this little bit right here says so much. Living through 1,296 starting QBs in 20 years to now having Baker is pretty damn awesome to me

@sdbacker80 said: Hear me out here...maybe I got too much sun yesterday.  I know the defense needs some help.  We have some reinforcements we need more.  So maybe I’m still talking myself into my own opinion.   Kyle Pitts could be the one of the best WR/TE prospects I’ve seen in a long time...and yes I included both positions and he’d play both in Cleveland and we have a brain and common sense calling plays now in Cleveland.  I think he’s a piece that makes this team unstoppable.  Takes us from Divisional Playoffs to Super Bowl.   Looking ahead to 22 and 23 are WR/TE group will have some major turnover so it’s not truly a luxury piece but hey maybe it is with all the other defensive needs we have going into 21.  But you don’t trade up for TE!!! I get it and some of you will tell me that.  Do you go up and snag him after the run on QBs?  Does anyone else see a game changing elite talent?  We have 9 picks this year and do we mortgage some future draft capital to get there? Please Talk me into or off this opinion.  I think I’ll get more talking off of it. I would love to have him on the team, but we will probably have to move up to #5 or #6 to get him.  I wouldn't want to do that.
